Review: Garnier Combination/Oily BB cream

No pictures today, since my iPad is being silly. But anyways.

Today we are going to review the new BB cream from Garnier. It is for oily/combo skin types, and I got the shade light/medium. I had tried the original formula last year, and HATED it. I was very hesitant to try this formula because of my incredible hate for the original. But, after I saw some reviews on it, and just about every single one I read, said how amazing it was and nothing like the first one.

First of all, the package says it instantly controls shine, minimizes pores, evens, and hydrates. It says that it is oil free and provides all day shine control. It has SPF 20 and the container is 2fl oz, which is double what the usual foundation is. I purchased it for around $12 at target.

When I first applied it, it was pretty liquid-y, so I was hesitant that it was going to actually cover anything. As I applied it, it blurred all of my breakouts and basically covered all of the redness on my face. It also did mattify my face almost instantly. I applied two coats, just because I have a lot to cover lately (damn breakouts!). It did a great job at covering what I needed covering, especially for a BB cream. This BB cream has about a light, build-able to medium coverage. I concealed the areas that needed some extra help, which I always have to do.

It was shine-free for about 4-5 hours and the coverage lasted about 6 hours before I needed to touch up with concealer and powder.

All day, it was very lightweight on my skin. I didn't feel like I had anything on my face, which is awesome since, even though I LOVE makeup, I also enjoy the clean face feeling.

Overall, I would give this BB cream an A. It has a great price, a great value and great coverage. All the things I love for whenever I buy makeup.
